Nigerian international goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was photographed at Milan Fashion Week on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, while his Super Eagles teammates began training in Uyo.
Okoye, who plays for Italian Serie A side Udinese, represented the club at the event where the team’s new third kit for the 2026/27 season was unveiled. The cream-colored jersey, designed in collaboration with Macron and Italian designer Giuseppe Buccinnà , marks Udinese’s 130th anniversary.
Videos and photos from the gathering also showed Okoye in the company of American rapper Cardi B.
Okoye is the only member of the 24-man Super Eagles squad named by head coach Eric Chelle who had not reported to camp by the time of the first training session. The national team camp opened on Monday, September 21, ahead of 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Madagascar on Friday in Uyo and Guinea-Bissau the following Tuesday.
Team media officer Promise Efoghe confirmed that Okoye received permission to handle family and personal matters and is expected to join the group on Thursday.
Twenty-three players, including captain Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, took part in the opening session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
